Dòng AS54 được trang bị bốn khe M.2 cho SSD NVMe để tăng tốc các tác vụ yêu cầu hiệu suất IO ngẫu nhiên cao nhằm tiết kiệm lượng thời gian đáng kinh ngạc trong các ứng dụng có thể tận dụng SSD, chẳng hạn như tạo nội dung. Mỗi khe cắm M.2 dành cho SSD NVMe đều không cần dụng cụ để lắp đặt dễ dàng hơn trong khi các lỗ thông hơi làm mát đảm bảo SSD chạy ở hiệu suất tối ưu.
Dòng AS54 nâng cấp giao diện USB lên USB 3.2 Gen 2 (10Gbps). Điều này có nghĩa là các cổng USB có tốc độ gấp đôi so với các cổng USB trên thế hệ thiết bị NAS trước đó ở tốc độ 10 Gbps.
